Job Overview:
The Executive Sous Chef at Yardbird DC is a senior culinary professional responsible for the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and back-of-house. This includes managing the culinary team, maintaining food quality, and controlling costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of menu items to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Manage kitchen staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Develop and implement new menu concepts and recipes.
  • Control food and labor costs within budgetary guidelines.


Requirements:
  • Degree in Culinary Arts.
  • 4 years management experience as a Restaurant Chef, Executive Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
  • Food Safety/Manager Certification.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.


Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year.
