Position Summary at Boldt:

We invite you to join us as a Project Manager II at Boldt Company. In this capacity, you will manage all facets of project execution, from initial concept through to completion and commissioning. The Project Manager II is vital in protecting and promoting Boldt's interests on our projects every day. You will ensure that work complies with safety regulations, adheres to timelines, and is performed with the highest quality while remaining within budget constraints. This active role involves leading project communication efforts both internally and externally and effectively managing the project team.

Core Responsibilities:

Safety Management:

  • Actively participate in daily safety initiatives.
  • Implement the Safety Culture Improvement Plan throughout the project.
  • Advocate for safety with a commitment to ensuring everyone returns home safely each day.
  • Engage in continuous learning to enhance project safety standards.

Team Leadership:

  • Guide various stakeholders in addressing issues related to plans, specifications, and field challenges.
  • Facilitate meetings to synchronize design and construction efforts.
  • Empower a high-performing team to foster organizational growth and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor team members in achieving performance and goals.
  • Support company-wide internship and apprenticeship initiatives.
  • Participate in training and mentorship programs.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure the team comprehends contract documents and enforces Quality Management Systems.
  • Lead design evaluations, recommend materials and methods, and create cost estimates.

Project Scheduling:

  • Oversee the Boldt Production System for scheduling and production oversight.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and procurement processes in line with project milestones.
  • Maintain visual production plans and site logistics.

Financial Management:

  • Negotiate and manage change orders, control costs, and oversee budgets.
  • Provide assistance for cost control and budget management.
  • Lead sections of the project budget.
  • Clarify budget and estimate details to both internal and external stakeholders.

Risk Management:

  • Develop a list of contract items and trade scope of work documents.
  • Execute subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Engage in the project close-out process and risk management activities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in identifying and mitigating project risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience.
  • Thorough understanding of construction practices, materials, and standards.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Office Suites.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This role entails various physical activities and working conditions, including computer usage, navigating different environments, and lifting weights. The employee may experience loud noises, odors, and work in both indoor and outdoor settings. Personal protective equipment is essential, and overtime or weekend work may be required.
