The Senior Procurement Specialist - IT plays a pivotal role in overseeing the sourcing of approximately $100 million in technology-related indirect expenditures for McCain Foods. This individual is tasked with formulating sourcing strategies, executing key initiatives, and managing a significant segment of the IT category, which encompasses Hardware, Software/SaaS, Telecom, and Consulting Services.

In this capacity, the Senior Procurement Specialist will conduct sourcing events, negotiate contractual terms, and cultivate supplier relationships while ensuring performance metrics are met and value is delivered. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement best practices to influence business needs and achieve favorable commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement cost-effective strategies for assigned IT sub-categories.
  • Execute sourcing plans and initiatives to achieve ongoing cost savings.
  • Manage contract renewals and mitigate potential cost increases.
  • Deliver Sustainable Cost Advantage (SCA) through effective analysis and negotiation.
  • Establish and maintain supplier relationship programs to maximize value for McCain Foods.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal teams including IT, Finance, Compliance, and Legal.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the effective use of the Coupa procurement system within the Global Procurement Team.
  • Formulate and execute strategies for assigned categories.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or IT; a Master's degree or procurement certification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of procurement experience, ideally within IT procurement.
  • Ability to foster strong partnerships both internally and externally.

Essential Competencies:

  • Proficient in Coupa or similar sourcing tools.
  • Familiarity with SAP and indirect procurement systems.
  • Strong skills in reviewing Master Agreements and negotiating Statements of Work.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel for data analysis.
