About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Director to join our team at ESS. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and enhancing profitability within the educational management services industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Design and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share in the educational management services industry.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, market segments, and potential growth areas within the assigned geographical locations.
  • Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and formal presentations for executive leadership and charter school board directors.
  • Charter School Funding and Budgeting: Understand and interpret charter school funding structures, budgetary processes, and recruitment.
  • Networking and Relationship Building: Attend educational conferences and events to network and stay up to date with industry developments, and build strong relationships with educational executives, board members, and stakeholders.
  • Sales Analytics and Data Analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Meet Sales Quota: Meet or exceed annual new sales quota.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, education, sales, or related field.
  • Experience: Five plus years of experience in sales, as an individual contributor, with solid knowledge of education administration practices, special education/related services, and K-12 procurement practices.
  • Skills: Proficient in sales methodologies, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and sales analytics. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and develop innovative sales strategies.
