About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Louisiana Medical Management Corporation. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in helping us provide exceptional medical services to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Preparation and Care: Greet patients, prepare them for x-ray procedures, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Procedure Explanation and Patient Education: Clearly explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns or anxieties they may have, and obtain their cooperation.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain x-ray equipment to produce clear and precise diagnostic images, adhering to strict safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Record Keeping and Patient Identification: Ensure accurate patient identification, maintain patient records, and collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy, maintain a clean and orderly work environment, and participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program and current ARRT certification.
  • Licensure and Registration: State licensure as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, where applicable.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent patient service skills, ability to explain complex procedures, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic health record systems and ability to learn new technologies.
