Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As an Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and safety in the MRI environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Operate MRI equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol
  • Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards
  • Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • ARRT registered or unlimited state license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical MRI experience
  • Advanced certification in MRI required by an organization recognized by the ACR Registry
Working Conditions

The Imaging Specialist will work in a patient care area, exposed to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent may be at risk for exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste.
