Ultrasound Technologist Job Description

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you'll play a vital role in our mission by performing diagnostic procedures and providing clinical services that exceed our patients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to produce high-quality images of internal organs.
  • Provide clinical services according to radiology/imaging practice standards, ensuring optimal department functions.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and medical equipment during procedures.
  • Review physician orders with radiologists to ensure proper examination and diagnostic results.
  • Administer sound patient care practices, communicating effectively with patients and families to ease anxiety and ensure informed consent.
  • Maintain quality control checks, adhering to hospital policies on sterile technique, aseptic techniques, and body substance isolation.
  • Perform routine clerical duties, accurately recording information on requisitions and verifying data in PACS/RIS.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree from an accredited institution or two-year certification program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
  • Heart Saver or Basic Life Support certification.
  • ARDMS certification.
