Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Automotive Service Specialist position is available as either full-time or part-time, offering an hourly wage that aligns with the operational needs of the business. This role involves executing fundamental vehicle repair and maintenance tasks in line with company protocols and manufacturer guidelines. The Automotive Service Specialist is expected to provide outstanding service to our customers, effectively communicating vehicle concerns and recommended solutions while ensuring that customer expectations regarding service time and quality are consistently fulfilled.

Key Responsibilities:

Efficiently conduct basic vehicle services and repairs in accordance with Tire Warehouse's operational standards. Tire Services – manage wheel removal, balancing, patching, changing, mounting, installation, and TPMS service and repair. Vehicle Maintenance – perform lubrications, oil changes, and basic upkeep (e.g., bulb, wiper blade, and filter replacements), along with battery testing and installations. Complete Tire Warehouse's Courtesy Inspection on every customer vehicle, identifying, documenting, and communicating any additional required services and repairs. Support inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, as well as unloading and stocking supplies. Assist with general store operations, ensuring the facility is maintained to Tire Warehouse's cleanliness standards and is consistently ready for customers. Adhere to Tire Warehouse's safety protocols, including but not limited to wheel torque and oil safety procedures. Conduct test drives of vehicles in accordance with Tire Warehouse's Road Test policy, utilizing designated test drive routes while obeying all local traffic and safety regulations. Comprehend and comply with company policies and procedures, as well as governmental standards including environmental codes and ANSI/OSHA regulations. Ensure consistent application of all required safety standards outlined in training and company policies. Maintain technical knowledge and skills by completing all required training courses and modules through Tire Warehouse University in a timely manner. Operate and maintain all equipment safely, following Tire Warehouse and equipment manufacturer guidelines, including lifts, welders, and brake lathes. Perform additional duties as assigned and required.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Automotive training or a combination of education and experience in basic vehicle maintenance and repair. Must hold a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to operate customer vehicles for test drives. Required to possess a basic set of tools or participate in Tire Warehouse's tool purchase program.

Profile Summary:

Ability to proactively identify issues, gather information, and establish facts to make informed decisions and suggest solutions. Strong customer service orientation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining technical matters and producing routine reports.

Compensation: The hourly wage for this position ranges from $15.00 to $17.00, with eligibility for additional compensation and incentives based on experience level.
