Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Automotive Service Specialist position is available in both full-time and part-time capacities, functioning as an hourly role based on operational requirements. This position is tasked with executing fundamental vehicle repair and maintenance tasks in alignment with company protocols and manufacturer guidelines. The Automotive Service Specialist is expected to provide outstanding service to our customers by effectively communicating vehicle concerns and suggested remedies while ensuring that customer expectations regarding service timelines and quality are consistently fulfilled.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently conduct basic vehicle services and repairs in accordance with Tire Warehouse operational standards.
  • Tire Services – perform wheel removal, balancing, patching, changing, mounting, installation, and TPMS service and repair.
  • Vehicle Maintenance – execute lubrications, oil changes, and basic upkeep (e.g., bulb, wiper blade, and filter replacements), along with battery testing and installations.
  • Thoroughly complete the Courtesy Inspection process for every customer vehicle, identifying, documenting, and communicating any additional necessary services and repairs.
  • Support inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, as well as unloading and stocking inventory.
  • Assist with general store operations, ensuring the facility is maintained to Tire Warehouse standards for cleanliness and is consistently ready for customers.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while performing services, including but not limited to Tire Warehouse's safety and compliance procedures.
  • Conduct test drives in accordance with established policies, utilizing designated routes while observing all local traffic and safety regulations.
  • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures, as well as governmental standards, including environmental codes and safety regulations.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and skills by completing all required training courses and modules.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment safely in accordance with Tire Warehouse and equipment manufacturer guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Automotive training in basic vehicle maintenance and repair or a combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to operate customer vehicles for test drives.
  • Required to own a basic set of tools or participate in the tool purchase program offered by Tire Warehouse.

Compensation: The hourly wage for this position ranges from $15.00 to $17.00, with potential for additional compensation and incentives based on experience.
