The Vice President of Business Transformation and Clinical Innovation is responsible for spearheading the strategic initiatives and execution plans necessary to enhance the service offerings for our Military clientele, beneficiaries, and healthcare providers by evaluating potential partnerships both internally and externally.
In collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer and other executive leaders, this role will design and implement long-term transformation strategies across various stakeholder systems, including customers, beneficiaries, and providers, to foster an integrated health delivery and operational model.
This position requires a strong business influencer who possesses a comprehensive understanding of the interrelationships among organizational capabilities within the Military sector.
As a champion for change and continuous improvement, the Vice President will maintain robust relationships with business partners and key stakeholders.
You will be tasked with developing multi-year strategies for the evolution of our 'Convener of Care' initiative, emphasizing a systematic approach to transformation that encompasses clinical, operational, and cultural elements.
This leader will also oversee and coordinate multiple growth teams focused on innovative experimentation, serving as a facilitator for transformation across various aspects of the organization.
Additionally, the Vice President will provide strategic advice to senior leaders on significant functional strategies, particularly in clinical innovation.
You will exercise independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues related to job responsibilities, operating with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, organize, direct, and manage agile teams focused on innovative transformation initiatives.
- Develop and continuously update the Convener of Care strategy for business transformation.
- Represent the business perspective in decisions regarding technology necessary for operational enhancements.
- Drive the creation of implementation frameworks and playbooks for customer experience and provider transformation.
- Identify and resolve cross-functional complexities and associated risks.
- Evaluate end-to-end process performance for customer and provider interactions.
- Build and sustain strong internal relationships across the organization.
- Create governance protocols to document and oversee business processes.
- Facilitate recommendations for improvement to operational units through innovative experiments.
- Process and synthesize transformation program outcomes into executive-level presentations.
- Develop and mentor talent across the organization.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Growth mindset with a proven ability to lead agile and cross-functional teams.
- Focus on leveraging technology to enhance organizational efficiencies.
- Experience in clinical and business innovation.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to establish and measure objectives and key results (OKRs) and other critical metrics.
- Experience in data analysis and decision-making based on insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5 years of leadership experience.
- Understanding of agile methodologies and/or senior agile leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of overall experience, including 3-4 years in management consulting or transformation roles.
- Knowledge of the medical health insurance industry.
- MBA or Master's degree.
Additional Information:
Travel may be required. Full COVID vaccination is a requirement for this position as we prioritize health and safety.
