POSITION SUMMARY
In this role, you will operate under general supervision, managing various administrative and office tasks to support the compliance department and its personnel. Your responsibilities will encompass assisting with the agency's billing standards and procedures related to Day Habilitation and Resident Habilitation programs. You will engage in a variety of complex administrative duties, utilizing independent judgment and supportive thinking.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Compliance Specialist will be tasked with the following:
- Collaborate with program managers throughout the organization.
- Examine weekly and monthly billing submissions for residential programs.
- Compile and present summaries of billing reviews on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Work with program managers to address and resolve issues.
- Monitor and track relevant billing documentation, including Level of Care, Life Plans, and Staff Action Plans.
- Educate program managers on compliance policies and billing regulations.
- Stay informed about agency and governmental regulatory standards related to Life Plans and Care Coordination.
- Maintain proficiency in the agency's Medisked system functionalities.
- Assist in scheduling appointments for supervisors, ensuring efficient use of their time.
- Manage incoming calls for the Compliance Department, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare memos and meeting minutes for review by Compliance Department leadership.
- Oversee the inventory of office supplies and equipment for the Compliance Department.
- Sort and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail for the department.
- Establish and maintain an organized filing system for departmental records.
- Perform photocopying and collating tasks as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with other staff members within the Compliance Department.
- Facilitate logistics for Compliance Department meetings, including scheduling and setup.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with colleagues and the individuals we support.
- Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Adept at problem analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Willingness to travel to various program locations.
- Availability for in-person work during standard business hours.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Prior experience in an administrative support role is advantageous but not essential.
COMPENSATION: $41,000-$44,000 plus comprehensive benefits.
