Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Analyst (2nd / 3rd year) to contribute to our Technology team in a dynamic environment. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with senior professionals within the Technology Group, gaining exposure to both sell-side and buy-side advisory services, as well as underwriting and executing equity and debt offerings for both public and private entities. Technology Analysts engage in a range of strategic transactions for leading and emerging firms across multiple sectors, including Software, Internet, and Hardware. You will manage multiple projects concurrently, working alongside teams of experts both within the group and across the organization.

This role necessitates in-person office attendance from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and prepare client presentations, drafting offering memoranda, internal committee documents, management and board presentations, and other required materials
  • Execute transactions involving direct client engagement and communication
  • Oversee client due diligence processes
  • Conduct comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analyses
  • Analyze industry research and trends
Candidate Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on Technology
  • Genuine interest in the Technology sector
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail and consistency in deliverables
  • Strong work ethic and collaborative team spirit, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Organized and proactive; motivated to foster a positive, cooperative team culture
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Dealogic, CapIQ, Bloomberg, and MS Office suite is highly preferred
  • Possession of Series 63, 79 licenses and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam required at the time of hiring or shortly thereafter
Compensation Information:

For job postings in California, Oppenheimer is mandated by law to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. This salary range is specific to California and considers various factors in determining salary decisions, including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, licensure, certifications, and other organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $90,000 to $110,000. Additionally, certain roles may qualify for other forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses.
