Position Overview
Role Summary
We are seeking a Laboratory Science Specialist to be part of our dynamic team in the Healthcare Systems and Services sector.
- Conducts comprehensive analyses of bodily fluids to identify normal and abnormal components through chemical testing of blood, urine, and other fluids.
- Ensures the functionality of laboratory analyzers by performing calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining equipment inventories.
- Provides essential medical technology insights by addressing inquiries and requests from healthcare professionals.
- Promotes interdepartmental collaboration to maintain effective workflow.
- Upholds a safe and hygienic work environment by adhering to established protocols and regulations.
- Safeguards the well-being of patients and staff by following infection control and hazardous waste management procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information to protect both patients and the organization.
- Contributes to team objectives by achieving related goals as necessary.

Qualifications for Success
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
- Certification from ASCP or AMT is required.
- Must be open to working in a specified location.
- Availability for a schedule of M-F, 11 PM to 7 AM, with no on-call duties.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Ability to engage with laboratory personnel in a responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
- Flexibility, reliability, and sound judgment are key attributes.
