Position Overview:

The role of a Chemical Production Operator involves executing filling tasks and managing material logistics within the industrial chemical manufacturing sector. This position requires safe operation of process machinery to facilitate the transfer of materials into various containers such as tank wagons, totes, drums, and sample containers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate yard spotters for the movement of tank wagons and trailers as necessary.
  • Utilize forklifts for the transportation of materials and supplies throughout the facility.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Accurately document activities related to inventory and supply management.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a one-year certificate program from a technical school or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in handling hazardous and flammable substances.
  • Familiarity with critical safety processes, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space protocols, line breaking, and hot work procedures.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing and operation of chemical production equipment is preferred.
  • Valid forklift certification and experience in managing hazardous materials are advantageous.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends, in a continuous operation environment.
  • Proficient in computer usage for reporting and inventory management systems.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and effective communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
