Job Title: Director of Brand Partnerships - Financial Services

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Director of Brand Partnerships - Financial Services to join our dynamic media startup. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with identifying, pitching, and securing advertising agreements, focusing on prominent financial institutions and their agency partners. Collaborating closely with our Revenue team, you will develop innovative and impactful advertising campaigns that resonate with our audience and deliver value to our partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a brand ambassador for The Daily Upside, effectively communicating our unique value proposition to advertising partners.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain relationships with media and creative agencies, as well as direct clients, with a strong emphasis on financial brands.
  • Enhance and expand relationships with existing direct advertisers.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape to uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the digital media sector, particularly in newsletters.
  • Represent The Daily Upside at industry events, engaging clients and serving as a brand representative.
  • Utilize HubSpot to manage sales activities.
  • Achieve and surpass quarterly and annual revenue objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in advertising sales, media sales, media planning, or a related field.
  • Experience in the financial services sector is essential.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • A creative, strategic, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A genuine passion for the media industry, particularly in the digital and newsletter domains, along with enthusiasm for representing The Daily Upside and our mission to make business and finance news engaging and accessible.
