About the Role

We are seeking an experienced System Analyst PACS to join our team at Mercyhealth. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for our Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for RIS and PACS systems, ensuring high-quality standards and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with key personnel, end-users, clinicians, and project team members to maintain and improve Radiology and Cardiology Information Systems.
  • Ensure proper operation of DICOM digital image data transfer into the PACS and CPACS from all radiology and cardiology modalities.
  • Maintain and update PACS user accounts database and application tables.
  • Develop and implement testing programs to ensure reliability of computerized procedures in compliance with federal regulations.
  • Assist with the development of operating standards, policies, and procedures, including downtime events.
  • Participate in IS-related Radiology/Cardiology projects, involving workflow analysis, design, and development of functional specifications.
  • Provide input into selection of hardware and software for RIS, PACS, and CPACS digital imaging initiatives.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited AMA radiological training program or equivalent with work experience in a radiology department.
  • Knowledge of workstations and server administration, HL7 interfaces, DICOM interfaces, and overall network infrastructure.
  • PACS experience required, with working knowledge of radiology department workflow, processes, protocols, systems techniques, methods, and equipment.
  • ARRT certified or 10 years relevant Radiology or Cardiology experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks and project components.
