Unit Overview

Cardiology Step-Down Units 7300 and 3200/7100 are currently offering a $5,000 commitment bonus for New Graduate Registered Nurses. These units at Duke University Hospital provide an exceptional career trajectory within the Heart Services Department. New graduates will have the chance to work with high-acuity patients, benefit from low nurse-to-patient ratios, and access advanced professional development opportunities.

Position Summary

Become a Clinical Nurse within the Duke University Health System, where you will prioritize service excellence while delivering comprehensive patient care in a patient-centered atmosphere. As a Clinical Nurse, your responsibilities will include providing both direct and indirect nursing care, adhering to the nursing process, and engaging in professional development activities and initiatives to enhance patient care. You will actively participate in maintaining exemplary customer service and fostering respectful relationships with patients and colleagues.

Work Schedule

Various shifts available: Day, Night, or Rotating 3-12 Shifts

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will plan, deliver, and oversee nursing care, customize care plans, delegate tasks, lead a team of care providers, ensure a safe care environment, engage in professional development, and identify areas for performance enhancement.

Qualifications

Education: Graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing; enrollment in a BSN program within two years of commencement. Experience: No prior experience required, comprehensive training provided. Licensure: Current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina, BLS certification.
