Job Summary

VCU Health is seeking highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurses to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible for compact state licensure.
  • AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
  • 12-24 months RN experience for Clinical Nurse II, 3 years of clinical experience for Clinical Nurse III.
  • Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program recognized and/or approved by the corresponding state's Board of Nursing.
  • Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher) from an accredited program for Clinical Nurse III.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic Health Care Experience.
  • Experience with similar patient population in either an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practice.
  • Certification in specialty area for Clinical Nurse III.
