Key Responsibilities:
  • Fulfill the physical and sensory requirements outlined and be prepared to work in the designated environment.
  • Engage in process enhancement initiatives that elevate the customer experience, streamline workflows, and/or improve the work atmosphere.
  • Deliver personal care (such as grooming, bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, etc.) to residents on a daily basis and as required.
  • Change bed linens and ensure that grooming supplies are adequately stocked in resident rooms regularly.
  • Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
  • Document resident vital signs, weights, measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other assigned information.
  • Regularly reposition and turn residents as necessary.
  • Carefully observe residents and report any changes in their condition to the Charge Nurse.
  • Support residents' ability to make choices within the caregiving environment.
  • Contribute insights to nurses for the development of individualized care plans.
  • Facilitate regular hydration for residents according to their specific needs.
  • Prepare residents for meals and assist them as needed in the dining area.
  • Maintain accurate records of food intake and output as directed.
  • Uphold established housekeeping standards within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Assist nursing staff as needed in providing care.
  • Ensure proper ventilation, temperature, lighting, and noise control in the environment.
  • Measure and record TPR (temperature, pulse, & respiration), blood pressure, and weight of residents as directed.
  • Promptly respond to call lights and assist with other resident needs.
  • Utilize proper body mechanics when lifting or transporting residents.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members, as requested.
  • Undertake other special projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Current Nursing Assistant certification from the state.
  • Current/active CPR certification is preferred. (State specific)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient with computer applications (including Clinical software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet).
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating flexibility, personal integrity, and effective collaboration with colleagues and vendors.
