Tasked with welcoming visitors to the facility and delivering exceptional customer support to all guests and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities (Illustrative Only)
  • Encourages positive and respectful exchanges between guests and staff.
  • Ensures that all visitors have entered the facility in compliance with established policies and procedures (e.g., admission fees, age restrictions, etc.).
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the facility, its programs, and services, and effectively addresses guest inquiries both in person and via phone.
  • Adheres to all opening and closing protocols, including: reconciling cash drawers, counting and preparing funds for bank deposits, and completing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Maintains a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Operates various office equipment and machinery as required.
  • Prepares and manages administrative records and documentation as needed.
  • Participates in training sessions and/or staff meetings as required.
  • Follows the policies and procedures set forth by the City of Mason and the Parks & Recreation Department.
  • Displays understanding of the department's Infectious Material & Exposure Incident Policy and the facility's Emergency Action Procedures.
  • Administers and documents any necessary first aid or victim care within the scope of emergency training.
  • Exhibits knowledge of all emergency protocols throughout the recreational areas.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • General proficiency in computer operations and familiarity with Microsoft software applications.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain current certification in American Heart Association Standard First Aid and CPR.
  • Ability to engage with the public effectively via telephone and in person.
  • Experience handling cash and preparing financial reports.
  • Capacity to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
