This pivotal position is part of the Markets Credit and Price Risk Execution team, focusing on the management of data quality issues and strategic initiatives related to Price Risk. Price Risk encompasses all facets of market risk management across both First Line and Second Line functions, aiming to enhance risk management controls and processes throughout Markets operations and CTI. The Price Risk Execution team serves as a first line cross-asset risk and control function, facilitating controls to manage operational risk, valuation risk, and governance aspects of Price Risk quality management.

The role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of Price Risk processes, whether from a first or second line risk management perspective, along with the capability to define, organize, and coordinate a program of work across various business units and regions. This position will assist Markets businesses and functions in driving transformation within risk and control processes, collaborating with stakeholders to establish a best-in-class target state, complemented by a robust control framework and actionable steps to achieve it.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee and support multiple governance forums and sub-forums focused on Price Risk data quality.

+ Develop and implement processes for effective internal Data Management controls by monitoring business data quality reports, associated key indicators, and metrics, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to mitigate inherent risks.

+ Participate in data quality issue triage, prioritizing business needs and providing proactive guidance to partners.

+ Establish Data Quality reporting through the definition and implementation of control and remediation frameworks related to business, data, and systems at capture points to address data quality exceptions.

+ Collaborate closely with business partners on findings and provide recommendations for enhancing practices.

+ Ensure understanding of relevant policies applicable to Markets, and establish ongoing processes to identify and implement changes or new policy requirements, ensuring no known gaps are left unaddressed.

+ Utilize data quality issues to assess impacts on Customer Experience and Regulatory compliance.

+ Operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercising independent judgment and autonomy.

+ Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and team members.

+ Assess risks associated with business decisions, demonstrating a commitment to the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, while applying sound ethical judgment in business practices.

Knowledge and Experience:

+ Proven experience in data quality issue management, utilizing tools for governance and reporting.

+ Expertise in creating and executing governance frameworks that enhance data quality and regulatory compliance.

+ Familiarity with structured project management techniques in a front office environment, along with industry experience in data management and regulatory initiatives.

+ Understanding of data methodologies and frameworks, with an appreciation for the necessity and impact of controls, thresholds, and Data Quality rules.

+ Demonstrated experience in managing data process flows, risk and control, and operations within a large financial institution.

+ Experience coordinating with stakeholders to drive changes and understand process impacts, including issue resolution and controls.

+ Knowledge of global markets trading products and Treasury Investments.

+ Experience in analyzing legislative, regulatory, and compliance texts.

Qualifications:

+ 6-10 years of relevant experience in Business Risk & Controls, Operational Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, or related control functions.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to identify remediation needs.

+ Capacity to see the broader picture while maintaining focus on critical details, understanding the purpose of processes in the context of business operations.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective documentation and interaction with management and executives.

+ Proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools, along with strong organizational and project management skills.

+ Ability to collaborate with other data management roles, including Process Owners and Data Stewards.

+ Proven ability to develop and implement strategies and process improvement initiatives.
