A Day in the Role:

As the Senior Infrastructure Engineering Lead, you will engage in research and development initiatives, taking charge of the design, implementation, and management of new infrastructure services that you will establish from the ground up. You will architect and manage a VMware environment on the latest hardware. Additionally, you will devise networking solutions tailored to client requirements and oversee the execution of those solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology Liaison: Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, communicating effectively with both groups.
  • Comprehensive Expertise: Bring extensive experience across a variety of technologies, including Linux, Windows, VMware, and Cisco IOS.
  • Strategic Thinker: Grasp the client's overarching goals and lead technical initiatives accordingly.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph Clearance
  • Significant onsite presence required
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
  • 12 years of experience in system administration and/or engineering
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Windows and Linux Server installation, configuration, operation, and customization
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Networking and NAS technologies/protocols
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols with troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to quickly adapt to emerging virtualization and networking technologies
  • B.S. in Computer Science, IT, IS, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Redhat Certifications: RHCSA or RHCE
  • Network Certifications: CCNA or CCNP
  • Virtualization Certifications: VMware VCP
  • Scripting: Python/Shell
  • Orchestration tools: Salt, Ansible, Puppet
