Position Overview:

The role of a Cloud Computing DevOps Engineer, Senior, is pivotal in merging development and operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Your Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the software development lifecycle by integrating open-source tools and automation techniques.
  • Utilize cloud resources to minimize repetitive tasks, allowing developers to focus on innovative software creation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous integration and delivery practices, reducing the need for manual testing and troubleshooting.
  • Leverage your experience to develop tools that will significantly impact mission-critical operations.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of expertise in cloud architecture and automation engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience managing cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), including IaaS, PaaS, or Serverless solutions.
  • 3+ years of proficiency in automation and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for cloud implementations.
  • Possession of an active TS/SCI clearance and readiness to undergo a polygraph examination.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Capability to achieve a DoD Directive 8570 or 8140 Series Certification, including Security+ Certification for IAT Level II, within 60 days of employment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in designing and implementing secure cloud infrastructure using automation tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot cloud deployments utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with developers, operations teams, and stakeholders.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect are advantageous.
  • Terraform Certified Associate or Ansible Certified Professional Certification is a plus.
