About The Role:

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and talent development within the Complex Benefits Segment. This includes overseeing financial performance, personnel management, and retention of an assigned book of business, in line with the objectives and procedures of the Mid-Atlantic Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth and revenue within the Complex Benefits Segment.
  • Lead quarterly initiatives focused on growth, working closely with Client Advisors and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the Complex Benefits Segment's organic growth and top-line revenue objectives, engaging with Client Advisors and executing client retention strategies.
  • Utilize Auris to engage with Client Advisors, Account Executives, Service Teams, and Acrisure resources to cross-sell other lines of coverage to existing clients.
  • Proactively manage talent resources within the Complex Benefits Segment, working with Mid-Atlantic and Segment people leaders to develop and coach team members' careers.
  • Coordinate with Acrisure Mid-Atlantic Human Resources and Segment people leaders on personnel issues, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
  • Partner with the Head of Finance to budget and manage the Complex Benefits Segment's financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Growth, Marketing, and Communications to develop, promote, and educate Complex Benefits Segment clients and prospects.
  • Assign and oversee a Complex Benefits Segment-specific training coordinator to enhance the team's technical expertise, client presentation, and communication skills.
  • Effectively communicate prospect/client experience updates and issues with the Service Team, Client Advisors, and Mid-Atlantic Leadership.
  • Research and develop new Complex Benefits Segment products and expanded services.
  • Represent the Complex Benefits Segment as the primary point of contact for Acrisure, clients, prospects, and industry peers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and client needs, understanding their business models and bottom-line priorities.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant Segment experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Professional designation - CIC, ARM, and/or CPCU - preferred.
  • Licensed in property and casualty insurance.
  • Strong business acumen to provide strategic and financial planning for the Practice Group's performance.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and effectively use financial reports as decision-making tools.
  • Ability to direct, manage, and hire as needed for their Practice Group.
  • Problem-solver with the ability to drive value and provide solutions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Excellent phone etiquette, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated superior presentation and relationship skills in this highly client-interaction role.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment with strong customer service and management skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Experience with a broker/agent, including marketing large middle market accounts to carriers.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Products, Word, Outlook, and strong Excel skills/knowledge.
