Senior Business Development Manager USA

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team at A.P. Møller - Maersk A/S.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, with expertise in the offshore and onshore wind industries, and some familiarity with the oil & gas and maritime sectors.
A proven ability to build and maintain global client relationships, particularly through solution and relationship selling, as well as experience with structuring license and management agreements, is essential.
This role is perfect for someone self-driven, eager to collaborate closely with clients, and passionate about growing the business.
You'll be engaging with major OEMs, higher education institutions, and C-level executives, while attending networking events and industry trade shows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique challenges and business goals, offering tailored consultancy solutions that address their specific needs.
- Develop, negotiate, and manage license and management agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships that drive both client and organizational success.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform strategy and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Operate as an independent contributor, managing your client portfolio, driving results, and ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Lead or contribute to the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and RFIs/RFPs, ensuring alignment with client needs and organizational capabilities.
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and technical teams to ensure the seamless delivery of services and alignment with client expectations.
- Regularly track and report key performance metrics to ensure the success of the business development efforts.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- A proven track record of 6-10 years in sales and business development, preferably within the offshore and onshore wind industry, maritime, or oil & gas sectors.
- Experience in structuring and negotiating license and management agreements.
- Ability to work independently, managing your own portfolio while consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including international trips as required.
