Key Senior Account Manager, Retail Industry

We are seeking a seasoned Key Senior Account Manager to support our retail accounts. As a strategic business partner, you will drive sales growth, optimize inventory levels, and enhance the shopping experience for customers.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail planning, merchandising, and budget management. They will possess excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation abilities, and a team-oriented approach.
Responsibilities- Sales Forecasting
- Develop financial sales and stock plans
- Collaborate with the sales management team to forecast sku sales
- Strategize new product launches, including forecasting pipe, initial sell-through, and annual sell-through
- Strategic Planning
- Drive 3-year sales strategies
- Implement key business initiatives such as conversion optimization and staffing
- Evolving in-store visuals and fixture design
- Product planning and promotional activities
- Sampling programs
- Inventory Management
- Work closely with the account manager and senior account director to ensure seamless execution of:
- Weekly communication with planning and forecasting on sales trends and allocation opportunities
- Maintaining accurate inventory balances, sell-through rates, and upcoming orders
- Minimizing overstock risks and RTV liabilities
- Monitoring sku item forecasts based on emerging trends or events
- Immediate reorders for new launches
- Optimizing inventory levels by sku and door
- Negotiating best-in-class planning, shipping, and OTB plans
- Work closely with the account manager and senior account director to ensure seamless execution of:
- Merchandising
- Analyze productivity of merchandising strategies
- Partner with visual merchandising to maximize profitability through data-driven insights
- Budget Management
- Lead the budget process in collaboration with the senior director or director of the account
- Provide summary analysis for key G/L lines
- Track monthly expenses vs. budget and project full-year expenses
- Lead monthly P&L reviews with management
- Reports and Analysis
- Deliver weekly/monthly sales reports and analysis to account and field teams
- Review and summarize promotional activity results
- Communicate successes and opportunities for new product launches and events
- Track and report key KPIs, such as conversion rates
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Team-oriented approach with ability to build lasting partnerships
- Ability to analyze sales results and identify business opportunities and risk
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Meticulous and detail-oriented
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs
- College graduate or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years in retail planning or merchandising role
- Experience with budgets or income statements preferred
This position is eligible for an annual bonus and comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan with employer matching, paid time off, employee discount/perks, life insurance, disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts.
Estimated salary: $100,000 - $125,000 annually.
