Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing existing accounts and expanding new relationships throughout the nation.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of pet industry sales experience and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to drive business growth. Your expertise in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PPT will also be beneficial in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate current business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Monitor and measure productivity, goal progress, and activity levels through performance data analysis.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual goals by utilizing variance reports, technical product knowledge, market trends, and industry publications.
  • Develop strong relationships with existing accounts, identify opportunities for growth, and establish a clear purpose for each visit.
  • Present promotions and new lines to obtain orders and increase sales volume.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity to ensure our products remain competitive.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions or issues promptly and resolving problems in a timely manner.
  • Communicate sales activity to management through regular reports, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of pet industry sales experience.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PPT).
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Some traveling required.
  • Relocation to Southern California is necessary to work on-site in the office.
