Account Coordinator Job Description

Brown & Brown Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Account Coordinator to join our Employee Benefits Team in Meridian, ID.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a team of Account Managers in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Review and update plan attributes in the Benefits Account Management System following each renewal.
  • Collaborate with carriers to request materials for customers and follow up on previous requests made by Account Managers.
  • Assist Account Managers with processing adds, terms, or changes to employee enrollments.
  • Communicate with carriers regarding customer billing discrepancies or simple claims issues.
  • Generate personalized forms for each customer, such as Annual Compliance Notices.
  • Review carrier contracts for accuracy.
  • Draft employee communications materials for peer review by Account Managers.
  • Request information from insurance carriers on behalf of our customers.
  • Respond to all emails within 1 business day.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information processed.
  • Work in a team environment and attend in-house educational sessions/classes as requested by leadership.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, OneNote, etc.).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to obtain Life & Health License.
