Job Description:
Safety Officer IV

As a key member of our team, the Safety Officer IV will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive safety programs, conducting inspections, and investigating accidents to ensure a safe working environment for our employees. This role requires a strong understanding of safety regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work areas and activities to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and education to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and wellness.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in a laboratory or healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, policies, and procedures, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a laboratory or office setting, with occasional travel to other locations.
  • May be required to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds or more.
