Position Summary:
As a Team Supervisor, your role will be pivotal in fostering leadership that promotes sustained excellence at both individual and organizational levels, aligning with the mission and values of NHBB.

You will be tasked with understanding the significance of providing essential support and motivation to your team members, acting as a mentor and guide, which will cultivate an environment that:

Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering or sourcing the necessary training and guidance for team members to effectively execute their tasks.
  • Coordinating the pre-planning process with the team, including assignments related to machinery and personnel, necessary tools, and ensuring adherence to established Standard Procedures and Quality Instructions.
  • Facilitating team activities to guarantee production and process quality, including:
    • First Article inspections
    • Compliance with quality protocols
    • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
    • Gauging practices
    • Document control for daily production targets
    • A clear understanding of applicable quality standards
  • Driving production and quality enhancements within the work area to ensure:
    • Efficiency of machinery and personnel (cycle times)
    • Reduction of scrap
    • Improvements in processes (enhanced tooling and setup times)
  • Maintaining effective communication among all team members across shifts, between teams, and with relevant support personnel, while ensuring feedback is relayed to department heads.
  • Participating in machine or process setup, operation, inspection, or other tasks as necessary to meet team objectives.
  • Ensuring the upkeep of the work area, focusing on:
    • Housekeeping
    • Equipment condition
    • Overall organization of workstations
    • Proper storage and handling of components

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in NHBB primary operations.
  • The capability to lift 40 lbs.

Education and Experience:
Required qualifications include:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in NHBB machine shop operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.

Additional Requirements:
Candidates must exhibit:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • A sense of accountability for achieving desired outcomes.
