Position Overview:
As a full-time Accounts Receivable Credit Specialist, your primary duties will involve assessing credit risk and managing collections for overdue accounts. You will collaborate closely with the Sales and Operations teams and report directly to the Credit Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate overdue accounts and communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances.
- Assess risks linked to new and existing credit accounts.
- Negotiate payment settlements with delinquent customers.
- Issue demand letters and escalate accounts for potential legal action or write-offs.
- Maintain accurate and reconciled customer account balances.
- Resolve conflicts between sales objectives and acceptable risk levels.
- Manage collections for high-profile accounts.
- Handle all forms of communication, including phone calls and emails.
- Address invoicing, cash application, and sales tax issues.
- Process new customer credit applications and set up accounts.
- Conduct manual bank deposits.
- Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily tasks.
- Perform additional duties as required.

Attendance:
Consistent and reliable attendance is essential, including being prepared for work at the scheduled start time.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience with cash posting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with managing a credit portfolio exceeding $2M is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as E-Emphasys/Extend.

Skills Required:
- Strong analytical and interpretative skills for business documents and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculations related to discounts, interest, and percentages.
- Problem-solving skills to navigate various situations with limited standardization.

Physical Requirements:
- Regular use of hands, ability to sit for extended periods, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
