Job Summary

Options for Community Living is seeking a highly skilled Addiction Recovery Specialist to provide support services to individuals with mental illness in our MH Supportive Housing program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in addiction recovery and be able to provide education and counseling to residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine assessments of residents' substance use needs.
  • Provide addiction education and related individual and group counseling tasks to residents.
  • Assist residents in accessing and utilizing community resources, such as D.S.S. and medical clinics.
  • Document residents' progress and other information in charts in a timely manner.
  • Communicate pertinent information regarding residents to leadership staff and other coworkers.
  • Provide assistance to coworkers and serve as a resource person to non-certified staff, interns, and volunteers as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid CASAC certification.
  • At least two years' experience working with individuals with substance abuse required.
  • Two years' experience working with case management responsibilities in a setting with disabled or economically disadvantaged individuals/families preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, safe driving record, access to a vehicle, and valid auto insurance required.

Salary and Schedule

Salary range: $46,800/year ($24.00/hour) - $58,500/year ($30.00/hour). Salary offers will be commensurate with experience and other qualifications. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours/week.
