Role Summary

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize accounting software to accurately record, store, and analyze financial data.
  • Verify entries, postings, and documents for accuracy and compliance with relevant codes.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
  • Handle cash, checks, and vouchers, ensuring proper recording and banking.
  • Assign codes to documents in accordance with company standards.
  • Identify and report discrepancies in financial records.
  • Access and interpret computerized financial information to address inquiries related to specific accounts.
  • Organize, record, and summarize financial data to maintain comprehensive financial records, utilizing journals, ledgers, or digital tools.
  • Manage accounts using specialized accounting software for debits, credits, and totals.
  • Reconcile bank transaction records.
  • Perform essential financial calculations, including amounts due, interest, balances, and discounts.
  • Transfer data from various journals to general ledgers or processing sheets.
  • Prepare and issue bills, invoices, and financial statements in line with established procedures.
  • Generate purchase orders and expense reports as required.

Location Preference: Candidates are encouraged to reside within a reasonable distance to facilitate operations.

Compensation: Salary will be determined based on experience, ranging from $22.00 to $24.00 per hour.
