Work Arrangement: Hybrid Remote with periodic on-site commitments

Our clinic services are designed to support clients in reaching their recovery objectives.

Currently, we are seeking a Psychiatrist or Medical Doctor for our New York State-licensed Personalized Recovery-Oriented Services (PROS), Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment (CORE), and Intensive and Sustained Engagement Teams (INSET) programs:

Compensation: $250 per hour

Expected Commitment: Approximately 4-6 hours monthly

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide clinical guidance and collaboration to MHAW's multidisciplinary clinical team as required, including regular bi-weekly consultations with the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner staff.
  2. Consultation will encompass complex case discussions, protocol development, medication management, psychiatric and medical evaluations, symptom monitoring, education, and crisis intervention skills.
  3. Engage actively in MHAW's internal incident review processes to aid in the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of clinical risk protocols, risk management, quality improvement, and incident prevention strategies.
  4. Offer coverage for planned and emergency absences of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner(s).
  5. Participate in strategic planning and meetings with stakeholders as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Dedication to working with individuals affected by psychiatric disabilities and co-occurring disorders.
  • Candidates must be Board Certified in Psychiatry.
  • Possession of a current DEA number, an active Medicare provider ID, a Medicaid ID, and a National Provider Identification (NPI) number is required.
  • Proficient computer skills are essential, as the agency utilizes an electronic medical record system for documentation.
  • Upon appointment, candidates must have appropriate liability and worker's compensation insurance.
