Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Junior Manufacturing Systems Engineer (Level 1) or a Manufacturing Systems Engineer (Level 2) to become part of our diverse and skilled team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and define requirements, conduct technical planning, and oversee the integration and validation of manufacturing systems.
  • Evaluate costs, including implementation, savings, and return on investment, while assessing program risks.
  • Guide projects through all phases of manufacturing readiness, including concept development, design, fabrication, assembly, testing, and full production implementation.
  • Focus on advanced manufacturing capabilities and digital technologies aimed at enhancing production quality, reducing lead times, and minimizing costs.
  • Lead the technical proposal and statement of work (SOW) writing, ensuring a systematic transition from requirements to design and production validation.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines throughout all phases of development and transition to production.

Basic Qualifications for Junior Manufacturing Systems Engineer (Level 1):

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with no prior experience required.
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance and be eligible for Special Program Access.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Basic Qualifications for Manufacturing Systems Engineer (Level 2):

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field with at least one year of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM field with no experience required.
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance and be eligible for Special Program Access.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Special Program Access.
  • Experience in engineering product design and industrial design.
  • Familiarity with AR/VR/XR technologies.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $72,100 - $108,100, with a potential range of $87,200 - $130,800 for higher-level candidates. Salary offers consider various factors, including the role's responsibilities and the candidate's experience and skills.

In addition to base pay, employees may qualify for discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives, particularly for leadership roles.
