Position Title: Manufacturing Systems Engineer Lead

Location: Palmdale, CA

Job Overview: As a Manufacturing Systems Engineer Lead, you will engage in comprehensive technical planning and system integration for propulsion systems and related technologies. Your role encompasses the verification and validation of system effectiveness, as well as cost and risk assessments throughout the entire lifecycle of air vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed analyses at all stages of product development, including concept, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Transform customer requirements into complete system solutions while considering technical, scheduling, and budgetary constraints.
  • Perform functional and timeline analyses, trade studies, and requirements allocation to ensure alignment with specifications.
  • Lead a team of manufacturing and systems engineers within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support air vehicle production.
  • Utilize model-based engineering tools to develop product designs, manufacturing processes, assembly procedures, and testing plans.
  • Facilitate design reviews and planning sessions with IPT technical leads, program management, and build teams.
  • Participate in various review meetings, both on-site and at alternative locations, as required.
  • Travel periodically to support project needs.

Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance with a recent investigation or enrollment in a Continuous Evaluation program.
  • Extensive experience in aerospace propulsion systems, including operations, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Background in jet turbine or rocket engine technologies.
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience working within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) comprising multiple disciplines.
  • Preferred experience with aerospace engine suppliers and integrated air vehicle designs, including ground and flight testing.
