Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer

Position Overview: The Lead Engineer for Manufacturing Systems plays a crucial role in the technical planning and integration of aerospace propulsion systems. This position involves comprehensive analyses at every stage of the product lifecycle, including concept development, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and eventual disposal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analyses to ensure the effective conversion of customer requirements into complete system solutions, considering technical, scheduling, and budgetary constraints.
- Perform functional analysis, timeline assessments, and detailed trade studies to allocate requirements and define interfaces.
- Serve as the technical lead, guiding a team of manufacturing and systems engineers in support of aerospace vehicle production.
- Utilize a model-based engineering environment to develop designs, manufacturing processes, assembly instructions, and testing plans.
- Facilitate design and planning reviews with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and collaborate closely with technical leads, program management, and build teams.
- Engage in various reviews and meetings, both on-site and remotely, to ensure project alignment and progress.
- Travel periodically as required to support project needs.
Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance with recent investigation or enrollment in a Continuous Evaluation program.
- Extensive experience in aerospace propulsion systems, including operations, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Strong background in aircraft jet turbine and/or rocket engines.
- Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience working within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) comprising multiple disciplines.
- Preferred background with aerospace engine suppliers and integrated air vehicle designs, including ground and flight testing.
