Position Overview:
As a Senior Hardware Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping advanced solutions for innovative products that align with Lockheed Martin's mission.

Your Responsibilities:
As a member of the C2 Ground Team, you will be tasked with the design, integration, and testing of hardware products.

Your contributions will be integral in developing complex command and control systems, both mobile and stationary, for various customers.

This role involves leading technical initiatives, addressing design and procurement challenges, ensuring effective execution, and guiding a small team of hardware engineers.

You will be responsible for creating designs at both the system of systems level and subsystem level, offering technical support and direction on production, installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement of program technical products, programs, and systems.

Your expertise will be essential in resolving technical challenges during production and installation phases, troubleshooting products during system integration and operations, and modifying products to meet customer specifications.

This position requires strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, along with a willingness to travel (up to 10%) to customer locations for integration and deployment activities.

Experience in supporting or working within Lockheed Martin's Advanced Development Programs, other Special Programs divisions, or Special Access Programs (SAPs) is highly desirable.


Basic Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading and contributing to fast-paced hardware development projects.
- Experience in leading small technical teams.
- Proficiency in Electrical Design modeling (Interconnect diagrams, cable assembly diagrams) using tools such as Zuken.
- Analytical experience (power analysis, electrical loads analysis, SWaP).
- Familiarity with COTS electronics, Rack Assemblies, or technical subcontract oversight.
- Knowledge of networking and networking equipment.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with 8 years of professional experience; or 6 years of professional experience with a Master’s degree, or equivalent experience/combined education.


Desired Skills:
- Experience with Zuken or similar modeling tools.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Proposal development experience (Labor BOEs).
- Ability to interpret and create requirements.
- Hands-on integration, manufacturing experience, or field installation.
- Knowledge of National Electric Code (NFPA 70, NFPA 70E) or equivalent MIL-STD or UL standards (requirements, analysis, testing).

Security Clearance Statement:
This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens for consideration.

Clearance Level:
TS/SCI

Work Environment:
This role allows for part-time remote work, with a portion of the schedule dedicated to on-site responsibilities at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Specific weekly schedules will be discussed during the hiring process.

Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this position in various states is $100,400 - $192,500. This range serves as a general guideline, and Lockheed Martin considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's experience, education, key skills, and market considerations when extending an offer.
