Job Overview

Position: Senior Electrical Component Engineer

Compensation: $50 - $58/hr W2 only

Work Schedule: 4/10A - 1st Shift

As a Senior Electrical Component Engineer, you will engage in and support the execution of Parts Engineering, develop the EEE Parts management strategy, and conduct applications engineering tasks. You will assess emerging technologies and collaborate closely with survivability teams and various agencies including DLA, component manufacturers, and testing laboratories.

Your role will encompass a diverse array of projects in both laboratory and manufacturing settings, providing opportunities for professional growth and learning. You will liaise with suppliers and government entities to guarantee that electronic component selections align with quality standards and performance criteria.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Formal education, training, or experience in the design, analysis, and construction of electrical components and circuits.
  • Familiarity with EEE parts performance standards and specifications.
  • U.S. Citizenship with eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in developing and managing Bills of Materials (BOM) for both developmental and production projects.
  • Capability to oversee engineering projects effectively.
  • Understanding of circuit card and EEE Parts Material manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to evaluate both current and emerging technologies for EEE parts in complex design packages.
  • Experience collaborating with Program Offices, Contractors, Designers, and agencies such as DLA.
  • Proficient in various communication formats with strong verbal and written skills.

Position Summary:

In this role, you will assist in Parts Engineering, develop the EEE Parts management plan, and evaluate new technologies while working closely with various agencies. Responsibilities include:

  1. Engaging in a wide range of projects that challenge your skills and foster career development.
  2. Traveling to collaborate with suppliers and government agencies to ensure electronic component selections meet quality and performance standards.
  3. Managing engineering projects in line with cost and schedule requirements.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in coordinating parts-related issues.
  • Knowledge of testing and evaluation, failure/material analysis, and radiation effects.
  • Familiarity with circuit card and EEE Parts Material manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to secure and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • Typically requires several years of professional experience.

Desired Educational Background:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in designing with integrated circuits, semiconductors, and passive devices.
  • Experience in managing BOM development for various programs.
  • Ability to lead engineering projects.
  • Experience working with Program Offices, Contractors, Designers, and agencies such as DLA.
  • Comfortable communicating in diverse forums.
  • Experience evaluating EEE parts for Strategic Rad Hard applications.
  • A proactive individual who devises solutions to technical challenges.
  • Experience participating in significant program milestone reviews.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
