We are collaborating with a prominent global electrical manufacturing firm to identify a qualified Electrical Engineer. Below is the detailed job description for your consideration.

Essential Qualifications for the Electrical Engineer:

1. Proven experience in utility or power plant environments.
2. Willingness to travel up to 30% across the United States.
3. A maximum of three positions held in the past decade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct programming and testing for relay protection systems.
  • Support the maintenance and testing of generator excitation systems, protective relays, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Engage in electrical modeling for NERC PRC and MOD studies.
  • Participate in educational initiatives.
  • Draft detailed trip reports outlining system and device failures, along with corrective actions taken. Collaborate with the Design Engineering team to review issues and solutions.
  • Travel to client locations for system startups or maintenance, providing guidance for installation, upkeep, or repair of equipment.
  • This role entails 30% travel, with remaining office time dedicated to engineering analysis and design tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Preference for candidates with utility or power plant experience and an Electrical Engineering degree. Familiarity with PSS/e, SKM, ETAP, and/or EASYPOWER is advantageous.
  • Travel to client sites for relay commissioning, system startups, or maintenance, offering installation and repair guidance.
  • Strong computer proficiency.

  • This is an in-office position.
  • No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp arrangements.
