Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a top-level Civil designer with 5+ years of experience
  • The ideal candidate will perform non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions and under minimal supervision; considerable CADD skills are required to visualize and portray complex design features
  • This role may involve determining drawing sequence and presentation
  • Responsibilities will include designing grading/drainage, water/wastewater systems, stormwater detention facilities
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, grading, alignments, profiles, corridors, earthwork, and experience with pipe networks, detention, storm sewer design
  • The successful candidate will have working knowledge of land development engineering criteria and understands agency requirements and approval process
  • Candidate will work closely with Project Managers; may recommend minor design changes requiring sound judgment and discretion and perform simple design calculations
  • Reviews work performed by CAD Technicians I and II after submitting to Project Engineer
  • May guide or be assisted by other technicians
  • Understanding of local and state agency codes and ordinances relevant to the construction plan approval
  • Prepare cost and quantity estimates

  • Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D is a must
  • Should have working knowledge of CAD manual drafting techniques and CAD standards
  • Knowledge of construction plan preparation for land and /or site development projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Works well in a team-oriented environment
