Land Development Specialist

Owens Management Systems LLC is seeking a skilled Land Development Specialist to join our team. As a Platting Coordinator, you will oversee and coordinate the platting/zoning processes for multiple projects in the Southeast Texas area. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing plats/drawings, project submittals, and coordinating review with assigned municipalities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and be a self-starter who can listen and execute directions. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is also required. If you are a confident, flexible, and resilient team player with a passion for land development, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research zoning laws, planning regulations, and other legal requirements related to land use.
- Coordinate multiple projects throughout the platting process, ensuring project timelines are met.
- Work with clients, engineers, and architects to develop land plans.
- Draft and revise plats based on municipality requirements and client's land plans.
- Schedule and assign platting requirements to specialized team members to ensure execution for submittal & recordation.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum of 1 year experience dealing directly in the Subdivision Platting industry; either with the city/county, surveying, or engineering firms
- Knowledge of City of Houston Chapter 42 subdivision ordinances of city planning as they pertain to land development
- Proficient with the AutoCAD experience
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills
- Self-starter and ability to listen and execute directions
Salary Range:$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
