Position Summary and Qualifications


We are looking for a Surgical Services Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center who embodies our company values by providing compassionate care.

You will be a valuable addition to our team, utilizing your expertise in either the circulating or scrub role. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure safe and effective nursing care until the patient is transitioned to recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the setup of instruments and equipment for your operating room, utilizing preference cards and anticipating the needs of the surgeon.
- Coordinate and manage your room during surgical procedures as the circulator.
- Facilitate smooth transitions between surgical cases.
- Employ proper body mechanics when moving patients to stretchers and operating tables to prevent injury.
- Manage patient care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia.
- Consistently review documentation for completeness in accordance with protocols before and after surgical procedures.

Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an operating room environment, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
- Active RN license as required by state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable).
- ACLS certification as required by the facility.
- CNOR certification preferred.
