Job Summary

This position contributes to Sun Tan City's success by leading a team to create and maintain the Sun Tan City Experience for our clients. The Salon Director is required to regularly exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of the salon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Experience: Developing and coaching employees to provide amazing client experiences, following up swiftly on client concerns and issues, and consistently setting a positive example and demonstrating a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.
  • Team Management: Directly motivates and instructs the salon team by implementing company programs, managing with integrity and honesty, and promoting the culture, values, and mission of Sun Tan City.
  • Operational Excellence: Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth flow of operations, manages salon staffing levels to ensure employee development and maintain salon operational requirements, and adheres to applicable wage and hour laws for non-exempt team members and minors.
  • Financial Management: Utilizes financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in salon performance, regularly conducts performance assessments, providing feedback and setting challenging goals to improve sales performance, and manages ongoing sales.
Requirements
  • College education preferred, but not required.
  • Management and/or Sales experience required.
  • Basic Computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple situations simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor while having knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
  • Team building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate.
