We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Explain insurance benefits and financial responsibilities to patients, ensuring they understand their obligations.
  • Research and resolve issues related to customer service, registration, authorization, and scheduling.
  • Monitor and maintain productivity and accuracy, meeting departmental goals and standards.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications may be beneficial.
  • 3 years of direct experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in patient access or registration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
