Patient Access Representative: Home Infusion

Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team in the Home Infusion department. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient access to our services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient registration and scheduling processes.
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
- Collect and process patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay portions.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve patient access issues and improve patient satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure compliance.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
- One year of related experience in hospital, clinic, medical office, or business services setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Windows-style applications.
- Certification in Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) or Certification in Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA).
- Medical assistant certification or other medical specialty-based certification.
