Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Coordinator III to join our team at Novant Health. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate recording of patient demographics, insurance information, and patient charges. Additionally, they will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and Update Patient Information: Accurately record and update patient demographics, insurance information, and patient charges in a timely manner.
  • Schedule Patient Appointments: Schedule patient appointments in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that patients receive the necessary care and attention.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One year of clerical experience in a medical office setting required.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to work with changing priorities, and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Software Knowledge: Proficient in medical office software, including updating patient demographic information, posting charges, and scheduling patient appointments.
  • EPIC Systems: High level of working knowledge of EPIC systems.
  • Payor Billing Requirements: Detailed knowledge of multiple payor billing requirements.
  • Coding Requirements: Familiarity with coding requirements for practice specialty.
