Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Office Receptionist to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greets Patients and Visitors
    • Welcomes patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
    • Ensures a positive and respectful experience for all individuals
  • Answers and Routes Calls
    • Answers incoming calls and directs them to the appropriate staff member
    • Provides accurate and timely information to patients and visitors
  • Manages Administrative Tasks
    • Scans and files paperwork in a timely and efficient manner
    • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records
  • Ensures Confidentiality and Security
    • Adheres to strict confidentiality guidelines and HIPAA regulations
    • Protects sensitive information and maintains a secure work environment

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • High School Graduate or equivalent plus at least 2 years of applicable experience
    • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree with 1-year applicable experience or combination of some college and 1-year experience
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Working knowledge of computer-based applications and strong PC/keyboard skills
    • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to use sound judgment in decision making
    • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated time management skills
    • Ability to handle high workload volume
    • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
    • Ability to be flexible and demonstrated ability to be adaptable

Salary Range

$18.00/hr - $23.79/hr
