We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our ENT Surgery Office team at Albany Medical Center. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and accurately record patient vital signs
- Document patient history and medical information
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff
- Participate in in-office procedures under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider
- Perform diagnostic CLIA waived testing and venipuncture for lab testing
- Prescribe medication and respond to patient inquiries
- Prepare patient charts for clinical information and maintain inventory of supplies
- Adhere to Albany Medical Center's regulatory compliance issues
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a patient care setting preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients, and staff
- LPN licensure in the state of New York required
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations. The LPN will be required to stand for long periods, walk, and perform other physical demands as outlined in the job description.
