Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Position Overview:
As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist at Leeds Professional Resources, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our organization meets all legal standards and internal policies. Your role will involve overseeing compliance across various departments, guaranteeing that our operations align with legal requirements and internal protocols. This position is crucial for upholding the integrity and reputation of the company.
Core Responsibilities:
- Compliance Monitoring: Evaluate and monitor adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Policy Formulation: Create, implement, and uphold compliance policies and procedures to fulfill legal and regulatory responsibilities.
- Risk Assessment: Identify areas of compliance risk and vulnerability; develop and execute corrective action plans to address any issues.
- Internal Compliance Reviews: Perform regular internal compliance reviews to ensure alignment with established policies and regulations.
- Employee Training: Deliver ongoing training sessions to staff to enhance awareness and understanding of compliance matters, company policies, and procedures.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior leadership and regulatory bodies, detailing compliance activities and results.
- Investigative Actions: Conduct detailed investigations into potential compliance violations and suggest appropriate measures.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including Legal, Human Resources, and Operations, to ensure unified compliance throughout the organization.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations, ensuring the company adapts swiftly to new compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree or compliance certification (e.g., CCEP, CRCM) is advantageous.
- Possession of CRA/CRACP is mandatory.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a compliance role, ideally within the Banking sector. Experience in risk management and internal compliance reviews is essential.
